Traveling Bridge

Rigid Lifelines Traveling Bridge fall protection systems are optimally designed for use in larger maintenance applications such as aircraft hangers, aircraft production facilities, transportation vehicle maintenance facilities, and industrial applications. Traveling bridge systems are sold as both a standard product in kit form and as custom engineered systems. These systems can be mounted to the ceiling by attaching to a building’s existing supports, or they can be bolted to the floor utilizing a freestanding support column and header design. These systems provide unencumbered movement in all three directions and eliminate swing fall related injuries when used with a self retracting lanyard (SRL).

Ceiling Mounted Traveling Bridge Fall Protection Systems

• By using existing support steel, ceiling mounted systems can support long runs with unlimited runway length

Freestanding Traveling Bridge Fall Protection Systems

• Overhead positioning eliminates swing fall hazard
• Provides fall protection in areas when your structural building support is inadequate for an overhead ceiling mounted system
• Solution for industrial applications where large facility cranes must operate overhead
• System is easily repositioned when work flow or plant layout changes
• Requires anchoring to concrete foundation

Options

• Bridges can be constructed of steel or aluminum
• System can utilize more than one bridge accommodating more workers and allowing them to move independently of one another
• Flush mounted hangers to minimize headroom needed
• Ceiling mounted systems can be flush mounted parallel or cross mounted with support steel, or with any length drop rods. Drop rods do require sway bracing supplied by others. Optional sloped hangers with drop rods to accommodate slopes up to 14° maximum. Sway bracing by others is required
• Systems available in stainless steel
• Mylar lip seal available for heavy dust or paint overspray applications
